FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sunrise Clinical Services to Host Its Annual Community BBQ & Patient Appreciation Day to Expand Access to Behavioral Health Services, Honor Patients, and Strengthen Community Engagement

IRVINGTON, N.J. — In response to the growing need to expand access to mental health and substance use disorder treatment services, Sunrise Clinical Services will bring together community leaders, elected officials, nonprofit organizations, healthcare professionals, patients, and nationally recognized artists on Wednesday, July 22, at 10:00 a.m. for its Annual Community BBQ & Patient Appreciation Day, to be held at 22 Ball Street, Irvington, New Jersey.

Designed as a community engagement initiative, the event seeks to strengthen the relationship between healthcare providers and the communities they serve, reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness and addiction, and promote timely access to high-quality clinical care. The initiative reflects a comprehensive model of care that recognizes lasting recovery as a shared responsibility among healthcare institutions, community leadership, and civil society.

The program will feature special live performances by renowned artists Peter Gunz, O-Solo, and Erick B., who are lending their voices to support a message of hope, recovery, and inclusion. The event will also welcome faith leaders, elected officials, nonprofit organizations, business leaders, and families committed to improving the well-being of communities throughout Northern New Jersey.

The most effective solutions emerge when medicine, community, and leadership move in the same direction. Our mission is to bring healthcare to people before a crisis becomes a tragedy,” said Rev. Bolívar Flores, Chief Operating Officer of Sunrise Group of Companies.

Rev. Flores added:

The strongest communities are not those that face the fewest challenges, but those that respond to them together. This initiative reflects our conviction that mental health, prevention, and recovery must become a shared responsibility among institutions, community leaders, and society as a whole.

The event will also recognize patients and their families for their commitment to the recovery process while providing attendees with information about the clinical, educational, and community-based programs offered by Sunrise Clinical Services.

Over the past several years, Sunrise Clinical Services has developed a patient-centered model of care distinguished by clinical excellence, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to serving vulnerable populations. Through strategic partnerships with public agencies, healthcare organizations, and community stakeholders, the organization continues to expand access to comprehensive treatment and improve health outcomes across New Jersey.

Organizers expect hundreds of residents from Irvington and neighboring communities, along with representatives from the public and private sectors, to participate in this collaborative effort to promote healthier, stronger, and more resilient communities.
